Douglas L. Braunstein

Founder & Managing Partner

Doug Braunstein is Founder and Managing Partner of Hudson Executive Capital since 2015. Doug currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Talkspace, Inc.

Doug has over 35 years of industry experience and held a variety of positions during his tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co. which include Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer, and member of the Company’s Operating Committee. He was also Head of JPMorgan’s Americas Investment Banking, Global M&A, and Global Head of Industry Coverage. He served as a member of JPMorgan’s Executive Committee and the Investment Bank Management Committee for over a decade.

Doug has been an advisor to numerous boards and management teams in the planning, structuring and implementation of the full range of corporate finance solutions and strategic alternatives. He has worked on over $1 trillion in transactions throughout his career. Doug previously served as interim-CEO of Talkspace, Inc. and on the boards of several public companies including Cantaloupe, Inc., Cardtronics plc, Corindus Vascular Robotics, Inc., and Eagle Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Doug is a member of the Weill Cornell Board of Fellows, having recently completed 12 years as a Cornell University Board member, including serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.  He also serves on Harvard Law School’s Dean’s Advisory Board and is a member of the UJA of Greater New York’s Wall Street and Financial Services Division.

Doug received his B.S. from Cornell University in 1983 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1986.

Doug Bergeron is a Senior Advisor to Hudson Executive Capital. Doug has been a trusted partner and co-investor at the Firm since 2015. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Cantaloupe, Inc.

Doug has over 35 years of industry experience including 12 years as CEO of VeriFone, one of the world’s largest and most recognized financial technologies companies. During his tenure, VeriFone’s sales grew from $297M to $2 billion, and enterprise value grew from $50M to over $5 billion.

Doug received his B.A (Hons) from York University in Toronto, his M.S. from the University of Southern California, and an Honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) from York University.
